Your Family
by Krysta Gibson
Children, spouses, parents, partners, grandchildren: these family relationships are areas where it can be more difficult to have a joyful day. It seems that the people closest to us are the ones who can press our hot buttons the fastest and the deepest. Before we know it, we are off-center, saying and doing things that leave us wondering who is running our brain. Here is an idea to help.
Remember that we are all connected. Your family members are all some part of yourself just as you are a part of them. We are all interconnected. When you can see others this way, it keeps them from being outside yourself. What this enables you to do is to look at their qualities and see how they interact with yours.
In most cases, whatever you dislike in someone else is some aspect of yourself that you are disowning. The other person is doing you a favor of showing you this part of yourself. When you let yourself welcome this information instead of pushing it away and resenting the other person, you give yourself the gift of insight.
Spend some time discovering what is being mirrored to you. Change what needs changing in yourself. Then stand back and watch other people change in response to your changes. It will seem almost miraculous.
As long as you push against other people or situations, they will continue to push against you. When you discover the message they are giving you and act on it, situations will resolve in a most pleasing way.
A joyful day with other people in one where everyone gets their needs met and is able to treat each other with loving respect. This is not an easy thing to accomplish but is so worth aiming for.
I have found that when I can maintain the consciousness of radiating love to everyone and everything, issues with other people just melt away. Unconditional love is truly an amazing energy that no one can resist. Spend as much of your day consciously radiating unconditional love and see for yourself the difference it will make. Remember: what you send out you get back.
